At least 44 people were killed when a bus fell into a gorge in Lasbela district of Pakistan’s Balochistan province this morning. According to media reports, the bus was going from Quetta to Karachi and was carrying 48 passengers.

Local police said that 41 bodies have been pulled out from the debris so far. Three people including a child and a woman have been rescued. Police officials said that due to high speed, the bus hit a bridge pillar while taking a U-turn, after which the bus fell into a gorge and caught fire.

After this accident, the fire department was informed. The fireman told that the fire was very terrible. The staff had to struggle hard to control it. After about 2 hours of hard work, the terrible fire was brought under control. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
