Protests against the lockdown and strict restrictions imposed due to Covid in China have spread to several major cities including Beijing and Shanghai. Protesters chanted anti-government slogans and demanded an end to the lockdown in Shanghai for the second time over the weekend.

According to media reports and videos available on social media, thousands of people took to the streets of Shanghai yesterday demanding an easing of COVID control measures. During this, anti-government slogans were also raised.
