The movement of international flights in the country is resuming from midnight tonight. Regular international flights will start operating after a gap of about two years. The Ministry of Civil Aviation had stopped regular international flights in March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
The Airports Authority of India said that the existing COVID guidelines relating to international flights have been modified. The restriction of keeping three seats vacant in flights has been removed as per the revised guidelines. The mandatory requirement of wearing masks at airports or aircraft will continue.
The suspension order on commercial international flight services will expire at 11:59 pm tonight.
