The Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Monday expressed concern over the increasing cases of government control over temples, demolition of temples, illegal conversions, hate speech towards Hindu beliefs and deities and demanded an immediate ban on them. Addressing the media in Chennai after the two-day Central Management Committee meeting in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, VHP Joint General Secretary Dr. Surendra Jain said that all state governments should enact laws to effectively check illegal conversions and love jihad.
Announcing the action plan on completion of 60 years of establishment in 2024, he said that the council would add more than one crore members and its number of units would be taken up to one lakh with 15 lakh workers.
Dr Surendra Jain said that the entire Hindu community is proud of Tamil Nadu, where the Hindu religion has been flying the flag for thousands of years. Tamil Nadu has been a holy place for gurus and saints like Pujya Sri Thiruvalluvar, Pujya Sri Ramanujacharya, Pujya Sri Vallalar. He said that Tamil Nadu has always been a pioneer in the field of Hindu awakening in the history of India. The meeting of the Central Management Committee was held in the ancient holy city of Kanchipuram on Sunday. VHP is confident that this meeting will prove to be a milestone in making Hindu society efficient and harmonious.
