CBI has not yet given clean chit to anyone in Delhi Excise Policy case

The CBI has clarified that the investigation in the Delhi Excise Policy case is on and no clean chit has been given to any of the accused. The CBI said in a statement that the misleading statement of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, an accused in this case, is an attempt to divert attention from the investigation.

The CBI strongly refuted Manish Sisodia’s allegation that Jitendra Kumar, the legal deputy counsel in charge of CBI, committed suicide due to pressure to file a baseless case against him. The probe agency said Sisodia’s allegation was malicious and misleading. The CBI clarified that Jitendra Kumar was not involved in the investigation of the excise case.

According to Delhi Police, Jitendra Kumar in his suicide note has not held anyone responsible for the suicide.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has sent legal notices to the Aam Aadmi Party and its five leaders for their baseless, defamatory and malicious allegations. These leaders are Atishi, Durgesh Pathak, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Sanjay Singh and Jasmine Shah. These people had made allegations of corruption against the Lieutenant Governor in a 2016 case related to the Khadi and Village Industries Commission. These leaders have been asked to reply within 48 hours.
