Bharatiya Janata Party has released a sting video of Aam Aadmi Party leader Mukesh Goyal in which he has been accused of demanding bribe in exchange for ticket for municipal elections.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Sambit Patra accused Goyal of demanding bribe in exchange of tickets, saying that he had a very important role in the distribution of tickets. He alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was the driving force behind whatever was shown in the sting.
The BJP spokesperson said, ‘You will hear from the mouth of that leader himself how he is demanding money from the officer. He is saying that it is Diwali, big people have to give us gifts, from where will I give such a big gift. After this, the BJP played the sting video on the PC itself and showed it to the journalists.
It can be heard in the video that a person whom the BJP is calling Mukesh Goyal…he tells JE…’10-20 lakhs is not my standard. This is not the standard of Aam Aadmi Party. If you come with this much, then don’t come. Don’t bring 20-25 or 50 lakhs, come only with the minimum price (1 paisa i.e. one crore) and if you don’t pay the minimum price, you will be transferred. ,
Meanwhile, Goyal termed the video as fake and said that he would file a defamation case against Patra.
