Broadcasting ministry shuts down 20 YouTube channels and two websites for running anti-India news on the Internet

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has closed twenty YouTube channels and two websites running on the Internet for being engaged in propaganda of anti-India and fake news.

These channels and websites were running networks from Pakistan to spread false and misleading news on various sensitive topics related to India. Most of these posts related to Kashmir, Indian Army, minority community of the country, Ram Mandir and General Bipin Rawat were being publicized.

He said that strict action will be taken against YouTube channels and web portals which are violating domestic rules.
