The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released its manifesto for February 8 Assembly elections in Delhi.
The election document was unveiled by senior party leader Nitin Gadkari, Union minister Harsh Vardhan, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, party’s Delhi election in-charge Prakash Javadekar, Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel and other leaders.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold four public rallies in Delhi today. The rallies will be held in Pitampura, Tri Nagar, Ashok Vihar Phase 1 and Kamla Nagar.
BJP national president JP Nadda will also hold three public meetings in the national capital today. The rallies will be held in Ghonda, Timarpur and Rajouri Garden. Besides, several Union Ministers and top party leaders will also hold rallies in different parts of Delhi to seek public support. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party has also planned several public meetings in the national capital on Friday. Party’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold roadshows at Rajouri Garden, Mangolpuri, Badarpur, Kasturba Nagar and Jangpura.
Manoj Tiwari said that the BJP, if forms the government, will find a permanent solution for the sealing problem that has caused severe problem to businesses. Tiwari said that the BJP will also take care of the people staying on rent.
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said that a new Colony Development Board will be set up to look after the development workds of new colonies.
Nitin Gadkari said that the Centre provided Rs 55,000 crore to deal with air pollution. He said that the Eastern Peripheral expressway reduced traffic in Delhi and air pollution.
Addressing the media at Delhi BJP office, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said that clean drinking water is a major issue in Delhi. He said that the Modi government has taken several measures to solve the problem. “The BJP government is working towards providing drinking water facilities,” he said.

The tenure of the current Assembly expires on February 22. In the previous Assembly election held in 2015, the AAP had pocketed 67 of the 70 seats. The BJP won just three seats and the Congress drew a blank.
