PM transferred one thousand crore rupees to 16 lakh women of Prayagraj

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today participated in a special program for women empowerment, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. More than two lakh women participated in it. Many of these women are the beneficiaries of various schemes of the government.

The Prime Minister also interacted with the beneficiary women on the occasion. About 16 lakh women of self-help groups were benefitted by this. This amount has been sent under National Rural Livelihood Mission under Deendayal Antoday Yojana.

Every Sakhi is given a financial assistance of Rs.4000 for every six months so that they can do their business stable and start their income through commission by doing transactions.
