Second highest collection of Goods and Services Tax took place in November this year

The second highest ever Goods and Services Tax – GST collection has been recorded in November this year. GST collection of one lakh 31 thousand five hundred 26 crores was done in November. For the second consecutive month, the GST collection has exceeded one lakh 30 thousand crores. This year GST collection has increased by 25 percent as compared to November last year.

The revenue from import of goods increased by 43 percent in comparison to the previous year in November. The Finance Ministry said that the recent increase in GST revenue collection is a result of various policy and administrative measures.

The government has taken several measures to improve GST compliance.
