NEW DELHI: Highlighting the significance of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of Independence Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah described the nationwide initiative as a symbol of national unity and public participation. He remarked that the initiative serves as an effective medium to deepen patriotism and convey the core message of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ to every household across the country.
The Home Minister appealed to citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes, institutions, and commercial establishments as a tribute to freedom fighters and martyrs. Hoisting the tricolor collectively across diverse regions showcases national unity while instilling respect for the nation’s history and national symbols among young citizens.
Amit Shah further noted that the campaign drives the vision of a developed, strong, and self-reliant nation. Large-scale flag production by self-help groups and local artisans has provided a boost to cottage industries while fostering direct public participation. The Home Minister urged all states, union territories, and civic organizations to celebrate the national event with enthusiasm.
