There was a report of the possibility of a bomb in the flight of Iran’s airlines while passing through the Indian airspace this morning. This Mahan Air flight was going from Tehran in Iran to Guangzhou in China.
According to a statement issued by the Indian Air Force, the Iranian aircraft was given two options to land in India, whether it should land in Jaipur or Chandigarh. The pilot refused to land in Jaipur. Meanwhile, the Iranian airline withdrew the information that the plane had a bomb and crossed the Indian border. After this the pilot said that he was taking the plane to its destination located in China.
However, the pilot was unwilling to divert the plane at either point. Shortly afterwards, there were reports from Tehran that the bomb threat had been ignored. After this the flight of Iranian Airlines continued its onward journey. Sources said the aircraft was closely monitored by radar while passing through the entire Indian airspace.
