Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the premeditated attack on the Hindu temple in Canada. In a social media post, PM Modi said that the cowardly attempts to intimidate the country’s diplomats are equally horrifying. He emphasized that such acts of violence can never weaken the nation’s resolve.
It is to be noted that on Sunday, violence erupted at the Indian Trade Commission office located within the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Khalistan supporters suddenly attacked the people who had come to the Hindu Sabha Temple. The assailants had Khalistan flags in their hands. They rained lathi-sticks on the devotees present in the temple.
Subsequently, the Canadian police who arrived at the scene also resorted to beating the worshippers. The area has since remained tense after the incident. Meanwhile, the incident in Canada is being widely condemned. The Ministry of External Affairs of India has expressed concern and urged the Canadian government to ensure the safety of all places of worship.
