Will Make ‘Sonar Bangla’ in Five Years: Amit Shah in Bolpur Roadshow

In an attempt to boost the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaign ahead of the 2021 elections to the West Bengal Assembly, Union Home Secretary Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata at about 1 a.m. on Saturday for his two-day visit to the district. The second day of Shah’s two-day visit to West Bengal began on Sunday. Shah first visited Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, where he paid tribute to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore at the university campus.

Shah later conducted a road show in the town of Bolpur in the district of Birbhum. Huge cuts were made by Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP leaders Mukul Roy and others in Bolpur-Santiniketan Road, where Shah took part in a road show.
