The federal government in Pakistan increased the prices of petrol and diesel by up to Rs 35 today. The price of kerosene oil and light diesel oil has also been increased by Rs 18 per litre.

After today’s price hike, the price of petrol in Pakistan has gone up to Rs 249.80 paise per liter while that of diesel has gone up to Rs.262.80 paise per litre. The price of kerosene oil has gone up to Rs 189.83 per liter and that of light diesel oil has gone up to Rs 187 per litre. Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that due to the increase in oil prices in the international market, the oil and gas authorities had asked to increase the price.

The fall in the Pakistani rupee was recorded on Saturday itself, after which the economic condition of the country seems to be deteriorating. Pakistan’s currency reserves are falling. It is said that Pakistan has only $ 3.68 billion in foreign exchange reserves left. Due to this, imports can be done only for three weeks. Pakistan is also to be released $1 billion from the International Monetary Fund. In such a situation, there is news of some relief for Pakistan.
