An important meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislature Party is being held today at 7 pm in Delhi on Wednesday, in which the candidate for the post of Chief Minister of Delhi can be selected. Senior party leaders, Vinod Tawde, Tarun Chugh and Delhi BJP President, Virendra Sachdeva met Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena in this regard and discussed the swearing-in ceremony.
Currently, several names are being suggested for the post of Chief Minister and the person selected for this post will be formally announced only after the meeting of the Legislative Party. Earlier, on February 11, BJP National President J.P. Nadda met ten newly elected MLAs, out of which 3 to 4 persons are considered to be the main contenders for the post of Chief Minister.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Delhi’s prominent Ramlila Maidan, which will begin at 11 am. Many prominent party leaders will be present at the ceremony. Apart from this, various preparations were reviewed to manage the ceremony and related meetings were also held at the state office. More than 30 thousand invitees, including citizens benefited from the central government schemes, are expected to attend the ceremony.
