Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has given his explanation on the allegations of corruption leveled by Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. At the same time, lashing out at Sisodia, said that do not show half-completed papers, if you have the courage, tell the whole thing. Himanta Biswa, defending his wife on corruption charges, has also warned Manish Sisodia of facing criminal defamation case.
CM Sarma said, “The company wrote to the NHM of Assam that the supply of around 1,500 PPE kits for the Kovid Warriors should be treated as CSR contribution and hence not a single rupee should be paid by the government.”
Sisodia has alleged that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, while being the Health Minister in 2020, awarded government contracts for the supply of PPE kits to the companies of his wife and son’s business partners. Meanwhile, tenders were issued to buy PPE kits.
