Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that India fought for its culture, language and religion for 1,000 years which did not go in vain and the souls of those who sacrificed during this fight would find peace after seeing India’s revival today. Shah said this in his address after releasing the book ‘Maharana: Thousand Years of Crusade’ here.
Shah said that if any society wants to make its bright future, then it should take inspiration from its history, learn from it and learn from its history and pave its way forward.
Shah said that there were many empires in history, but whenever the historians mentioned the empires, they only talked about the Mughal Empire.
He said that the Pandya kingdom lasted for 800 years while the Ahom kingdom lasted for 650 years in Assam. This empire defeated from Bakhtiyar Khilji to Aurangzeb and kept Assam independent.
Shah said that similarly the Pallava Empire lasted for 600 years, the Chalukya Empire for 600 years, the Maurya Empire for 500 years and the Gupta Empire for 400 years.
He said that for the first time Samudragupta showed the courage to fulfill the vision of India, but no reference book was written on all these.
He said that Bajirao Peshwa had done the work of hoisting saffron from Attock to Cuttack, but there have been many such personalities whose life also did not get justice.
