Indian team announced for T20 Cricket World Cup

The BCCI has announced a fifteen-member Indian squad for the Twenty20 World Cup to be held in Australia from October 16. Rohit Sharma as the captain, while K. Ale. Rahul has been made the vice-captain. Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah are back in the team.

Ravindra Jadeja has been left out of the team due to injury and Axar Patel has been given a chance in his place. Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal have been named in the squad, while Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi and Deepak Chahar have been named as additional players. India will play its first match against Pakistan on 23 October.
