NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar filed his nomination for the post of Vice President today. He filed the nomination in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and other NDA leaders.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Dhankhar said that he did not expect that a person from an ordinary family could be given this opportunity. He said that he would continue to make efforts to enrich the democratic values of the country.
Voting for the post of Vice-President will be held on 6th of next month. Nominations can be filed till tomorrow. The opposition has fielded former Union minister Margaret Alva as its candidate.
