‘Naga people known for their courage and kindness’, PM Modi greets them on their Statehood Day

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Nagaland on their Statehood Day.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Greetings to my sisters and brothers of Nagaland on their Statehood Day. The people of Nagaland are known for their courage and kindness. Their culture is exemplary and so is their contribution to India’s progress. Praying for Nagaland’s continuous development.”

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended 58th Statehood Day greetings to the people of Nagaland. ‘As we celebrate this historic day, we remember with gratitude those leaders who by their sacrifices, foresightedness and determination ensured the creation of Nagaland State as the 16th State of India,’ – tweets CM Rio.

Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton said, ‘As we observe the 58th Statehood Day today, we remember all those who gave their everything for our land & for us. The privilege of having this day to celebrate was earned making unthinkable sacrifices. Today, let’s pledge to work towards making Nagaland the home of our dreams.’
