PV Sindhu has won the women’s singles title in the Swiss Open badminton tournament. She defeated Busanan Ongbam-Rungphan of Thailand 21-16, 21-8 in the final in Basel yesterday.

This is Sindhu’s second title of the year. He had won the Syed Modi India International tournament title in Lucknow in January this year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated PV Sindhu for her stupendous victory in the Swiss Open Super 300 badminton tournament. In a message on Twitter, Prime Minister Modi lauded the 26-year-old Sindhu as an inspiration to the youth and wished her good luck for the future.
