Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday ruled out a possible re-alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying he would “prefer to die rather than join hands” with his former ally.
The Janata Dal (United) leader also reminded the BJP that while in alliance, it used to get votes from all its supporters, including Muslims, who have always been “cautious” about the BJP’s Hindutva ideology.
He also scoffed at the BJP’s claim that it would get 36 of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state in next year’s general elections.
