NEW DELHI: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) took a firm and measured stance regarding Pakistan’s reaction to recent statements made by the United States Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor. In a regular media briefing, the official spokesperson stated that India sees no necessity in formally responding to Pakistan’s unwarranted agitation and discomfort.
The US Ambassador had commended the strengthening bilateral ties between India and the United States across strategic partnerships, economic cooperation, and regional security frameworks, while acknowledging New Delhi’s expanding global influence and counter-terrorism stance. Unsettled by the remarks, Pakistan raised diplomatic objections, which India characterized as a familiar and futile attempt to seek international attention.
The MEA reiterated that relations between India and the United States are anchored in shared democratic values, mutual trust, and strategic alignment. The spokesperson affirmed that both nations will continue to deepen cooperation toward global stability, peace in the Indo-Pacific region, and technological collaboration, undeterred by external rhetoric.
