Sachin Vaze, the prime accused in the Mansukh Hiren death case, reportedly admitted to the NIA that he destroyed five mobile phones, including his official one, after Mumbai Police recovered the body of a Mumbai-based businessman from Kalwa creek on March 5.

According to reports, NIA officials have enlisted the assistance of experts to retrieve Vaze’s mobile phone data, which would provide them with critical digital evidence about his involvement in the death of Manuskh Hiren. Officials believe Vaze was using at least 13 mobile phones.

According to reports, Sachin Vaze made contact with a person who runs a club in South Mumbai frequented by gamblers and bookies with the assistance of another accused, Vinayaka Shinde, a constable in Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch. According to the investigation, Vaze asked the club owner and Shinde to get him some SIM cards. Vaze later met bookie Naresh Gor, who provided him with services.

Earlier, Maharashtra ATS officials recovered three mobile phones. They were unable to recover the cellphone used by Vaze to contact Mansukh Hiren because it was destroyed by the suspect via an acquaintance. Three SIM cards were recovered by police, while two others used in the crime were destroyed.

The person who assisted Vaze in obtaining the four mobile phones has been identified by police. Investigators have also identified the person who damaged the phone after Hiren’s murder and have detained him in connection with the investigation.

Previously, Maharashtra ATS sources revealed that Mansukh Hiren was given chloroform and then thrown in the creek, from which his body was recovered. According to the report, Hiren was murdered in the presence of Sachin Vaze.

According to reports, Sachin Vaze was in the vehicle when Mansukh Hiren was killed, based on technical mobile tower and IP analysis. Mansukh Hiren had bruises before he was killed, according to a post mortem report.

According to a Times Now report, Sachin Vaze raided a bar in Dongri shortly after the murder of Mansukh Hiren to avoid suspicion. The bar’s owner confirmed that Sachin Vaze raided the establishment with the assistance of Dongri police.

Sachin Vaze is a defendant in the Antilia bomb scare case. Sachin Vaze, a ‘encounter specialist,’ was arrested on February 25 for being a member of the group that planted the explosive-laden Scorpio on Carmichael Road (near Antilia). The top cop was also investigated for his alleged role in the death of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the Scorpio discovered near Ambani’s home.

On February 25, two cars – an Innova (white) and a Scorpio (green) – were used to plant the bombs outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai. The police had tracked the Scorpio down to Mansukh Hiren, a Thane-based auto parts dealer. His body was discovered in a creek a few days later. While it was initially thought to be a suicide, further investigation revealed that it could have been a murder.

Later, it was discovered that Mumbai top cop Sachin Vaze had escorted Alibagh Police in the Arnab case using the same explosive-laden Scorpio found outside Reliance Group CEO Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia.
